In the last week I have administered the KELPA testing for my fifth grade students in the two classrooms I work in. I was in charge of giving the oral portion to all students. I work mainly with the ESL kids in these classes. They were required to answer questions in their best English and in complete sentences. Each student's exam lasted about 20 minutes. Since I have the ESL classrooms nearly every student was required to take the test. I believe I had to give 34 tests out of 41 students while other Para's only had six to 10 between their classes. These tests took an entire week to complete due to working around their lunch, PE, Music, and Libary classes.
