I have spent the last few days helping my students prepare for their state assessments. I am focused on the math portion of the test. My area has been on math most of the semester, tryint to make sure athe kids have a basic understanding of math functions. From fractions to reading a ruler, basic geometry to simple addition. It is sad that most of these students have a second grade understaning of fifth grade math. It makes it difficult when they have no grasp over the multiplication table. I would like to start doing after school Math tutoring on Monday and Friday if I think it would help.
